Haircut Day

While Ernie is out of town, we went to get the girls haircut.  They both look great!

Sarah's front shot.

Here is the back shot of Sarah's hair.  Her hair is getting soooo  long.  Wish I knew how to turn this picture.  I think you have to do it before you upload it.  Sorry.

Here is Emma's front shot.  She cut it really short.

Here is the back shot of Emma's hair.  She thinks it looks just like Meg's hair.
It certainly is bright.

Joe's Wreck

Joe and I went down to the wrecking yard to get the stuff out of his car - most of it was in his trunk. It was the first time either of us had seen the damage up close. It is a miracle they are alive. I'm not going to comment on the photos - just enjoy.

Christmas Eve Visit from Reindeer!

This morning Mom and I were out in the kitchen, and Emma and Sarah were in our room. All of a sudden we heard them shrieking and yelling. They came running in telling us their were "reindeer in our front yard". I grabbed my camera and Mom and I went in to the room, and sure enough, there were 4 'reindeer' out in our front yard, eating Mom's rosebushes. Two of them even had antlers.

The fourth one seemed to be the oldest (at least with the biggest antlers). He seemed to not be doing much eating - just watching out for the others. He was the only one who seemed to be watching us.Emma and Sarah were pretty excited. They were convinced these are four of Santa's reindeer. They had figured out the names for all of them. We were surprised that Jake didn't freak out. He obviously was too cold in the garage and didn't hear them (Nice watch dog). Mom actually let him in the house so he didn't disturb them so we could keep watching them. They moved across the yard toward the field.Eventually the big watcher wandered over to the side fence and then hopped over the fence. One of the others hopped the fence, but the other two (maybe the younger?) went down to the driveway and around. By now I went outside to get pictures and they took off bouncing across the field. Emma and Sarah were freaking out at how they 'flew' across the field. So it was a pretty exciting morning with a couple of Christmas Eve visits from Santa's reindeer. I guess they're just prepping for their visit tonight!

Emma's First Piano Recital

Tonight, Emma played in her first piano recital. It was at the Nursing Home in Heber. She dressed nicely and did a great job. She played "We Wish You a Merry Christmas".
Before she was just a little bit nervous.
She is introducing herself and her song.

Here she is playing her song. She did so good!

Glad to be done!
GREAT JOB EMMA!

Emma's School Christmas Concert

Emma sang in her school 2nd grade Christmas concert last week. It was a 'cowboy christmas' so they were all dressed up like cowboys. She sang every song, and roasted marshmallows over a campfire for one of the songs. Here are some photos from the event.

All Done!

Because Sarah is in afternoon kindergarten, she was there watching with her class while we were. Here are a couple of photos of her:

Motorcycling Guinea Pig

Today Sarah decided she wanted to play with two of her birthday presents: Her guinea pig and her remote control motorcycle (made for dolls). The only funny thing was she decided to play with them TOGETHER. This was the result:

This is not a doctored up picture. The guinea pig actually sat on the motorcycle for a long time - long enough for us to laugh at it and then get the camera and take a few pictures. Pretty funny.
